You can swim with Panama City's wild bottle-nose dolphins on your trip in super-fast boats that are specially built for visiting and finding them. Blue Dolphin Tours is smaller than larger boats, which can carry as many as 150 people. We only take 6 passengers on certain boats and 7-15 on others boats. Children of all ages are welcome to join us. You can be in the water quickly with your snorkel gear on without any splashing or disruptions, which can often scare the dolphins away. Your Captain will teach you how to interact with dolphins. For example, it is better to swim parallel to them than to reach out and touch them. Swim with Dolphins – We will put you in the water prior to the dolphins arrive. This will make it more likely that the dolphins swim to us rather than to us. You can see wildlife such as birds of prey and pelicans as well as underwater creatures, herons, and other bird species. Shells and sand dollars can be found in the Shell Island area. Explore St. Andrews Bay or the Gulf of Mexico by snorkeling grass flats.

These boat features a center console design to maximize open space and allow for easy movement around the boat, a fully cushioned forward deck for observation (and lounging), comfortable cushioned seats for your whole group, large bimini tops for shade, plenty of ice chest space, and quiet, clean four-stroke engines.
A variety of starfishes, sanddollars, bay scallops. whelks. Conchs up to 21". Seahorses. Urchins. Hermit crabs. These animals are easy to bring to the surface. They can also be photographed. We use large containers to allow snorkelers and non-snorkelers to see the animals up close before they are released into a bay. You can also take any shells you find that have not been inhabited by living creatures home.

We'll help you get as close to dolphins, as possible, while also ensuring their safety. The dolphins can decide how close they want, and how many interactions they want. We practice passive observation. This means, in simple terms, that we allow dolphins to come and visit us. Our dolphins at St. Andrews Bay have an amazing ability to interact with our guests and are very playful.

Dolphins are most active at dawn, between 10 a.m. and noon, and from 2 p.m. to dusk. A good pair of telephoto lenses or binoculars can be extremely useful for spotting dolphins.
